The New 2014 Jaguar XFR-S Unveiled in Los Angeles

The official launch of the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S has finally taken place! After a series of teasers, the real thing was eventually unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Rolling on 20-inch Varuna forged alloy wheels, the car will reach the market next summer, when 100 units will be shipped to the States.

The car is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine and will boast a massive output of 542 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque. Power will reach the wheels via a ZF 8-speed transmission with integrated Quickshift system, and this will result in super speeds: a 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds, and a maximum speed of 186 mph. Let’s not forget that this is a 4-door saloon that we’re talking about here!

Jaguar also improved the car’s stability and bettered its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. On the outside, the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S has larger lower central and side air intakes on the deeper front bumper, carbon front splitter, a larger rear bumper with carbon fiber diffuser, new rear spoiler, and extended side sills. The starting price for the new car will be $99,000.
