The Mikrotourbillon S Watch: A New Tag Heuer Innovation

With two tourbillon escapements (for timekeeping and chronograph), the Mikrotourbillon S is another innovative luxury timepiece from Tag Heuer. The watch completes the brand’s series of Mikro platforms, boasting one of the most accurate wristwatch platforms ever. It features a dual-frequency movement with two barrels and one crown to charge both the chronograph and the watch by turning it in different directions.

The 45-mm Carrera case is decorated with Tantalum (a black metal) and beautifully contrasting rose gold. The two tourbillons can be admired on the left side of the dial, while the other side holds the power reserve and subdials. Unlike other stunning Tag Heuer breakthrough timepieces, this one is actually going to go beyond the concept stage, and enter production. It will soon be purchasable for a little over $225,000 a piece. The Mikrotourbillon S will also be displayed at the upcoming Timecrafters Show in New York.
