The Majestic Riviera Cruise Ship by Oceania Cruises

Riviera is the latest luxury cruiser of Oceania Cruises, launched in May 2012 as the most elegant and sophisticated ship of the last 50 years. Flaunting some of the most lavish suites in the world of cruising, this vessel can accommodate up to 1,250 passengers, surrounding them in sheer luxury. The interiors were completed by Ralph Lauren Home, S. B. Long Interiors, Dakota Jackson, and Lalique.

With ten dining venues, numerous lounging spots and many bars, the ship gives each passenger many opportunities for socializing and relaxing. Just like its sister ship, Marina, the Riviera cruiser was created to offer guests the chance to eat and even cook some of the most delicious dishes in the world. The Bon Appétit Culinary Center is the world’s only hands-on cooking school at sea, so chefs-to-be will definitely love this place. Gourmets will also appreciate the exquisite wine and food pairings offered at La Reserve by Wine Spectator.

If cooking is not exactly your favorite kind of art, then you’ll probably be more interested in visiting the Artists Loft and quench your taste for culture. When you feel a rather special thirst for fine coffee, you must stop a little at the Baristas Coffee Bar, where excellent coffee-based drinks and snacks are always served with a friendly smile.

The 66,048-ton Riviera went on its maiden voyage in May, when it departed from Venice and travelled the blue waters for ten days until it reached Athens. The ship’s first season in and around Europe will only end in November, giving it plenty of time to visit important countries, such as Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus, Monaco, Morocco, and Montenegro.
