The Khaleesi Skyscraper Is Truly Breathtaking

Daenerys Targaryen, otherwise known as Khaleesi, is one of the most appreciated characters in Game of Thrones. Consequently, she’s been getting a lot of attention over the last few years, and while some people resort to “basic” displays of appreciation such as naming their children after her, architects are busy designing a modern tower that would serve as her home in the 21st Century.

Sketched out by Mark Foster Cage for New York City, the Khaleesi skyscraper is probably one of the most amazing buildings you’ve ever seen. It boasts 102 stories and is adorned with breathtaking Gothic sculptural elements complemented by a generous number of wings. The architect in charge of the project used a plethora of glass elements, but he also implemented a series of gears and propellers into the facade’s design in order to create a steampunk display.

Overall, the building impresses with an art-deco design that was created using “limestone-tinted concrete panels with sheet-bronze details.” The skyscraper would include sport-shopping boutiques on its 64th floor, as well as a sky lobby. Where would Daenerys keep her dragons, though?
