“Hybrid” and “retro” are not exactly two adjectives that you’d expect to describe one car, but in this case they go perfectly well together! Imperia GP is probably the first hybrid vehicle that doesn’t try to compensate the fact that it uses an electric motor with very futuristic and many times aggressive design cues.
The retro hybrid car comes from Belgium and it was first unveiled at the Belgian Auto Show. Its 134-horsepower electric motor can rush the vehicle from 0 to 62 mph in 6 seconds. When the 1.6-liter four cylinder turbo engine kicks in, the sprint is completed in only 4 seconds.
Imperia GP is expected to enter production pretty soon, and when it will hit the market it will sell for about €90,000. The first edition will wear a heftier price tag: €120,000.
