The first thing that comes to mind when looking at a watch like this is that people are either going to love it or hate it. The HYT Skull Maori timepiece is undoubtedly luxurious and impressive from a technical point of view, but what’s really interesting about it is that it represents HYT’s first experiment involving traditional decorative techniques. The skull featured on the dial was inspired in its design by the old Maori culture, and several other Maori-inspired elements can be observed on the strap of the watch.
The bezel includes sand from an exclusive beach, while the case was made out of Polyepoxide and cigar leaves. The asking price tag for the HYT Skull Maori is a rather spicy $120,000, but keep in mind that we’re talking about a timepiece that’s limited to just 15 units.
