The Awesome Parcour Concept by ItalDesign Giugiaro

What makes this car awesome? Everything! It actually merges all the best stuff of a sports car, a GT, a crossover and an SUV. Called Parcour, this machine was developed to tackle all types of terrain – and do it with style. ItalDesign Giugiaro presented this amazing concept at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show in coupe and roadster styles.

The differences between the two are not very big: the coupe simply lacks the roof, and instead of the coupe’s rear buttresses it has a couple of speedster-style roll hoops. Lots of carbon fiber and aluminum was used for this project (only 3,400 pounds), and the overall design kind of reminds us of Lamborghini’s Urus SUV. It’s got butterfly-style doors, 22-inch wheels, and an adjustable ride height of 8.3 to 13 inches.

The interior is characterized by minimalism. The center console controls the climate and the infotainment system, as well as the four available drive modes: Comfort, Sport, Off-road and Ice. There are three screens behind the wheel, two of which show what the side cameras (instead of mirrors) “see” behind the car. The central screen displays the traditional gauges and the navigation info.

Another thing that we know you want to know about is the vehicle’s powertrain. Well, you’ll be pleased to learn that there are 550 ponies coming out of Parcour’s5.2-liter V-10 mid-mounted engine – which has been borrowed from the beloved Gallardo. With help from a seven-speed DCT transmission, the car can reportedly complete the 0-62 mph sprint in only 3.6 seconds and then reach a top speed of 199 mph. It really breaks our hearts to know that this beauty will actually never be produced.
