The Amazing Presidential Suite of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel

You remember President Obama’s visit to India. We told you about it a few days ago and we mentioned the luxury liquor cabinet that the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel prepared for him. Now we come back with more news regarding the presidential suite in which Barak Obama stayed as the first guest of the 13 renovated rooms.

We said renovated, because two years ago much of the hotel was badly damaged by terrorist attacks. The only image that the hotel has released shows the immense living room of the suite with its awe inspiring gold stenciled ceiling and crystal chandelier.

The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel did not receive the ‘World’s Leading Hotel’ award this year, but it sure is one of the most luxurious ones in the world. The Presidential suite alone flaunts 15,000 square foot and it has a gym, a ten-seat dining room and a business center among other special amenities.

President Obama wrote a few words in the guest book, saying that America “stands in solidarity with all of Mumbai and all of India in working to eradicate the scourge of terrorism, and we affirm our lasting friendship with the Indian people”.
