Tesla’s new Model S will go on sale sometime in 2012, but the automaker has already announced their pricing strategy for the electric luxury sedan. Buyers can choose one of the three engine versions available, each one wearing a different price tag.

For $57,400 (federal taxes not included) you will get the entry-level Model S, with a 160-miles range. If that’s not enough for you, then you can add 70 more miles (that is a total of 230 miles) to your electric engine’s range by simply adding $10,000 to the initial price. And if you want even more, you’ll just have to opt for the $77,400 Model S boasting a 300 miles range. It’s all up to you and your pocket.
