After they amazed the world with their incredible MusicMachine music box last year, the Swiss experts at MB&F have recently unveiled the second incarnation of the amazing product: the MusicMachine 2. Just like its older sibling, the MusicMachine 2 was created with premium materials and great attention to detail but its design was inspired by a Star Trek spaceship this time around.
Strikingly similar with the USS Enterprise, the MusicMachine 2 was designed by MB&F and was manufactured by a company called REUGE. Moreover, the product’s internal soundboard was created by JMC Lutherie – a highly respected firm that specializes in resonance systems. The tail section of the music box is where the 2 independent movements are located, so you could say that that’s where the starship’s powerplant can be found. Each one of the 2 individual cylinders plays 3 different songs. One cylinder aptly reproduces themes from Star Wars and Star Trek, while the other one plays “Angie” by The Rolling Stones, “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” by The Clash and “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin.
Limited to just 66 pieces in black and 33 units in white, the MusicMachine 2 is a must-have for any true sci-fi enthusiast.
