Swarovski Riffle and Human Remains by Nicola Bolla

Swarovski Riffle and Human Remains by Nicola Bolla (6)

Nicola Bolla is an Italian artist, known for putting Swarovski crystals on everything. Chairs, chains, hanging ropes, axes, crutches, toilets and more. His latest similar deed is captured in the pictures below: a deadly weapon and what seems to be its effect: skulls and bones.

The shocking sculptures (skulls, rib cages, thighbones) make up a unique installation called Ossuary. The term historically refers to a place where human skeletal remains used to be collected after battles or epidemics had taken hundreds of lives. The somewhat disturbing installation was presented at the Milan Design Week and it caused quite a stir there.

A blinged-up AK47 assault riffle is also one of the sculptor’s latest very unconventional creations.
