It’s almost a frenzy out there, with every shop and luxe boutique trying to come up with the most imaginative and visually appealing Christmas decoration possible.
One of the best participants in this unofficial contest is Cimon Art, whose store spans 450 square meters (4,843 square feet) between Mercer Street and Broadway, close to Bloomingdale’s, Banana Republic, and Prada. Its windows show five luxurious sculptures made of Lego bricks, with various finishes and thousands of carefully-placed Swarovski crystals.
These luxe creations are part of the Little Love Stories series and they will be offered for sale after the decorations come down. They include The Love Bug, inspired by the famous Volkswagen Beetle, with a convertible top, silver coating, and Swarovski + ruby decorations; the Love at Sea miniature ship; the Love Comes Around carousel; the silver High Heels; and the Silver Steam toy train.
