Jaeger-Le Coultre has released the classy Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph, inspired by the Memovox Deep Sea. The case is 40.5 mm in diameter and it holds inside a Calibre 751G movement with ceramic ball bearings for lubricant-free long-term operation.
Water resistant to 100 meters, the timepiece features a fixed bezel, a classic black dial and an orange luminescent coating for the hour and minute hands, and for the hour markers. This color will certainly remind connoisseurs of the original 1959 Memovox Deep Sea watch. The two-button chronograph can be seen in action on two counters on the dial, one at 9 o’clock and the other at 3 o’clock.
The back of the timepiece is engraved with the signature frogman surrounded by bubbles. Also reminding of the original model, the strap is made of embossed black calf skin. The materials used for this beautiful watch include stainless steel (the case and pin buckle), plexiglass watch glass, high-quality leather, and a total of 37 jewels for the hand-assembled movement.
