Steven Tyler’s Hennessey Venom GT Spyder Spotted Testing

Steven Tyler, the world-famous Aerosmith legend, must be so proud right now! His custom 2013 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder is almost ready to meet its master. The car was recently spotted in Sealy, Texas, as the Hennessey Performance team was dyno testing it enthusiastically.

This gorgeous supercar is based on a modified Lotus Elise/Exige chassis and is powered by an intimidating 6.2-liter twin-turbocharged sequential Multi-Port Electronic Fuel Injection V8 engine from General Motors. Adjustable with three settings, the car can put out 800 hp, 1000 hp, or 1,200 hp, and it flaunts a maximum torque of 1,155 lb-ft. This kind of power combined with a weight of 2,685 pounds apparently results in a top speed of 260 mph, and a 0-60 mph time of only 2.5 seconds. Of course, responsible for this impressive performance is also the Ricardo six-speed manual transmission.
