If you watch science science-fiction movies from time to time then you are definitely waiting for the tech revolution that would bring about the era of the flying car. Well, even though flying cars are not going to become a day-to-day occurrence anytime soon, some companies such as Parajet are definitely heading in the right direction.
The SkyRunner is a stunning new vehicle that performs just as good on land that it does mid-air, since it features a special parasail that could lift it up to 15,000 feet in the air. Now you might be wondering just how is this possible since this vehicle appears to have nothing in common with a regular airplane, at least in terms of exterior design. Part of the secret involves a very lightweight body made using carbon fiber and fiberglass, which ensures a total weight of less than 1000 pounds. Moreover, the powerful 1-liter 4 cylinder engine is able to propel the SkyRunner from 0 to 60mph in just 4.3 seconds, while the top speed is 115 mph.
Once in the air, this outstanding creation is able to cruise at a speed of 55 mph. We can expect to see the SkyRunner up in the sky starting mid 2014.
