Shawish Unveils the World’s First All-Diamond Ring!

Shawish Unveils the World’s First All-Diamond Ring!

With this dazzling creation, the term “diamond ring” has received a whole new meaning. Shawish, a bold Swiss jewelry house finally created the world’s first ring made entirely of diamond. We’ve mentioned this project last year, when it was just a plan, and now we have the pleasure of showing you what the real thing looks like.

Unveiled at the 2012 Baselworld show, the stunning gem was made from a single piece of rough diamond from Brazil, weighing 150 carats. After working for almost a year, the Shawish technicians finally developed the special laser technology that allowed them to cut the precious stone without altering its quality.

The final result is simply mind blowing, as no one in this world has ever seen an all-diamond ring before. The VS1 clarity, E color gem has a staggering value of $77 million. We can only imagine how proud the Geneva-based jewelry house must be of its achievement!
