RM Auctions will have their first annual Salon Privé auction this summer. The inaugural event will take place at the Salon Privé Concours d’Elegance on June 23. For this special occasion, the auctioneers will bring together some of the most alluring vintage cars that you have ever seen: Jaguars, Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces and many more will be there for connoisseurs to admire.

RM Europe MD Max Girardo said “We have pulled together a collection of very interesting and significant collector cars and motorcycles which represent some of the finest vehicles produced in England during the pre- and post-war periods”. The event will take place at the Syon Park estate in West London.

One of the highlights of the auction will be this gorgeous 1926 Rolls Royce Experimental Phantom 1 Continental 10EX. It’s not difficult to see that this car is a truly remarkable one, right from a first glance. The 10EX was the first of a short series of experimental Phantom 1 Continental models, commissioned by the Rolls-Royce managing director of the time, D. Claude Johnson. They were meant to compete against the Continental models from Bentley.

With a lowered steering column, a torpedo bodywork from Barker and less weight than the stock Phantoms of the time, this model was a special edition indeed. It was later followed by three other experimental versions, known as the 16EX, the 16EX and the 17EX. RM Auctions believes that this vehicle will sell for between $660,000 and $1.33 million.
