Another Christie’s auction leaves us breathless. A collection of Richard Avedon pictures was put up for sale and each print went for really impressive sums.
The star of the event was the pretty large picture of model Dovima standing next to two circus elephants. The late Richard Avedon took it in 1955 and he probably never dreamed it will one day worth $7.5 million.
A multi-colored 1967 Beatles photograph was also at the auction and it went for $608,000. Also part of the collection was a Marilyn Monroe, a Rudolf Nureyev, and a semi-nude Stephanie Seymour.
