The first renderings of the sublime Lotus C-01 motorcycle date back to 2013, and after the bike actually made it into production, it quickly became a favorite for adrenaline lovers. The C-01 marked a special moment in Lotus’ history, as it was the first bike actually associated to the famed British carmaker. Since it was sketched out by Bugatti designer Daniel Simon, the two-wheeler’s body is incredibly futuristic, which is probably why it managed to get so much attention in the first place.
Limited to just 100 units, the Lotus C-01 is highly exclusive, and the one that you’re looking at right now is the only one that is available in North America. It is powered by a 1,195cc liquid-cooled twin engine that’s good for 200 horsepower, while the chassis flaunts 320mm Brembo brakes, a 12-section carbon fiber shell, twin Ohlins rear suspension and reversed Sachs forks. This awesome bike will be put under the hammer in Monterey, CA during an auction event that’s set to take place between August 18 and August 20.
