Queen’s Park House in Sydney, Australia

The owners of Queen’s Park House wanted an extension of the existing building for their growing family. Fox Johnston came with a perfect solution to their needs and designed a two-story folded building with generous living spaces on the ground floor and a private retreat abovefor the parents.

The brief asked for a construction that would not affect the integrity of the older house and which would be open to the surroundings. Consequently, large windows played an important role in the architecture, and the living areas were seamlessly connected to the beautiful rear garden.
