Featuring a stainless steel case protected by vulcanized rubber, the Diver Black Sea timepiece by Ulysse Nardin is a fantastic new addition to the brand’s collection of diving watches, and it might even be the best one yet. Its crown is also rubberized for a plus of grip, while the unidirectional rotating bezel has received the very same treatment.
This rubberized coating was used in order to ensure shockproof capabilities, which also means that the timepiece is able to function perfectly in rough weather, not to mention that it can be submerged at up to 656 feet. The rubberized bezel flaunts a series of ceramic baguette-cut pieces, which were inserted using a complex 3S technique. Highlights include a seconds counter at 6 o’clock, a 42-hour power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock, and sapphire crystals at the front and rear sides of the case. The power comes from a Caliber UN-26 movement, which can be admired partially through the caseback.
