Northern Sun is a 50m (164 ft) luxury yacht launched by Narasaki Shipbuilding in 1976 as Hokko Maru. After a complete conversion process that took place between 2005 and 2008, the vessel is now ready to find a new owner who would be willing to pay $15 million for it.
The long-range displacement expedition yacht can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests, plus a crew of 13. There are three doubles and two twins on the vessel, each with en-suite facilities and lovely views. The owner’s stateroom is by far the most spacious and luxurious, and it is located fore of the lower deck dining area and saloon.
Powered by twin Yanmar 6G-UT diesel engines, the Northern Sun has a cruising speed of 10.5 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots.
