New Titanic DNA Accessories from Romaine Jerome

Romaine Jerome’s Steampunk Chrono Titanic DNA collection is welcoming new, more contemporary looking members. The fabled timepiece manufactured with Titanic-sourced materials is now available in a fresh version with mirror polished steel and splashes of bright colors. Matching these timepieces is a new line of cufflinks, bearing the same DNA and boasting matching colors.

The 50 mm case forgoes the dial, allowing the onlooker to see the sturdy mechanism inside with its raw finishes and very masculine character. Made of over 330 parts, the movement is fixed in its position by four large screwed pistons that have quite a strong visual impact. Also noteworthy is the mobile propeller situated at 6 o’clock, a beautiful detail that evokes the majestic cruise ship which now lies at the bottom of the Atlantic.

To freshen up the look of the watch, RJ added a few lacquered colorful elements to the recipe. The inner bezel ring and a tiny band around the crown are available in red, orange, yellow, green and blue. Each color will appear on 99 units, and the black alligator straps will feature matching stitching. The stainless steel used for the bezels was partly sourced from a depth of 3,840 meters (12,600 feet) in the ocean, as well as from the very shipyard where the Titanic was built over a century ago.

The iconic brand’s line of luxe accessories also includes a new series of Titanic-DNA cufflinks that perfectly match the colorful timepieces. Also available in lacquered red, orange, yellow, green and blue, they feature mobile propellers set on colored disks. While the cufflinks are priced at $600, the new Steampunk Chrono watch will sell for $15,950.
