New Caterham AeroSeven Concept

Only very recently revealed at the Singapore Grand Prix, Caterham’s latest creation is an awesome new ride for speed addicts. It is called the AeroSeven Concept and it is based on the Seven CSR platform. Its carbon-fiber body gives us an idea of the new design language that the British automaker has prepared for the future.

A Ford Duratec-based 2.0-liter inline-four engine with 237 hp is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, a combination which results in a 0-62 mph time of less than 4 seconds. New features include the optimized aerodynamics, the recalibrated F1-style suspensions, electronic traction control, ABS brakes, launch control, digital instrument cluster, and a cool F1-inspired steering wheel.

Only a concept at the moment, the new AeroSeven could enter production sometime next year. You can expect to see some changes by then, including a few modifications in the engine department. Until that time comes, we have to say that we kind of like what we’ve seen so far.
