In celebration of the 2013 Wörthersee Tour, Audi has released an enhanced concept version of its TT model. The new Audi TT Ultra Quattro concept is much lighter than the stock car, thanks to an extensive use of carbon fiber and other weight-saving tricks.
By swapping some old detachable body components with new carbon reinforced plastic ones, Audi managed to shed off 95 lbs. Carbon fiber was also used for many of the interior trims, while the original seats were changed with R8 GT borrowed ones, with CFRP frames.
The result is a concept with 220 less pounds than the production version. This combined with 310 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque results in excellent performance figures: a top speed of 173 mph and a 0-60 mph time of only 4.2 seconds.
