McLaren Unveils the P1 Concept Ahead of Paris Motor Show

One of the most anticipated cars of 2012 is a stunning McLaren, known as the P1 concept. The car will be unveiled soon at the upcoming Paris Auto Show (Sept 29-Oct 14) as a concept model, with the production version expected to be launched sometime in 2013. A few photos of the concept have already been released and we are happy to share them with you.

Apparently the car is meant to once again raise the performance bar among supercars, just like the F1 did two decades ago. According to McLaren MD Antony Sheriff, the automaker doesn’t necessarily aim to create the absolute fastest car in the world, but rather “the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit”.

Expected to cost around £800,000 (maybe even more), the McLaren P1 will be produced in only 500 examples, and they will probably be sold to loyal McLaren customers and rich collectors before becoming available to other customers, if ever.
