Mayan Queen IV, the Biggest Private Yacht in Sydney Harbor

The Rugby World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand, is almost put in the shade by the 302 ft mega yacht, Mayan Queen IV, pegged in the harbor. Owned by the Mexican billionaire Alberto Bailleres, it was built by Hamburg’s Blohm + Voss in 2008. Bailleres is the second richest man in Mexico and was ranked 66 on Forbes list of billionaires. The New Zealand Herald reports that the 33rd largest yacht in the world will stay in Auckland for maintenance and service.

Although it is a very large yacht, it can reach speeds of 20 knots or even 22. Equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system, the vessel offers a smooth sailing experience at any speed. It features accommodation for 16 guests and 24 crew members.  The interior of the ship is designed by Terence Disdale and the exterior is the work of Tim Heywood Design.
