Maserati & Ermenegildo Zegna Planning Anniversary Quattroporte

As Maserati is getting closer to its 100th anniversary in 2014, the company is already working on a special edition creation that will incorporate the spirit of the brand and also set the pathto its future. For this, the fabled Italian automaker enlisted the help of Ermenegildo Zegna, another luxury manufacturer from Italy.

The menswear company was asked to come up with a unique Quattroporte that would mark Maserati’s centenary. The car will obviously be a limited edition, and it will be offered with new materials, trims and colors. The fabrics used for its interior will come from a historic wool mill in Trivero, called Lanificio Zegna.

Only 100 units will ever be produced, but this will represent the beginning of an excellent collaboration. After this special Quattroporte, Maserati will offer its clients a variety of optional trims signed Zegna (starting in 2015). The following year, customizations will become even more impressive, with features like exclusive trims and colors.

The concept will hopefully be revealed soon at an auto salon, and maybe the first photos will emerge on the Internet even sooner than that.
