Located on Harbour Island, Bahamas, this stunning beach home was sketched out by skilled architect Chad Oppenheim and was completed in 2015. Dubbed House on a Dune, it offers 3,000 square feet of living space and allows its residents to form a tight connection to the surrounding nature. Elegant, simple and luxurious, it was put together using eco-friendly materials and modern construction techniques.

It was inspired in its designe by the works of conceptual artist James Turrell, and it boasts retractable glass walls on its West and East sides that offer superb panoramas of the jungle, the sky and the ocean. At the core of the abode, there is a central pavilion space that comprises dining and living areas, both of which open up to large courtyards that flaunt deep overhangs.

The materials used for this unique project include recycled cedar, milk paint, concrete blocks and reused ipe. The sliding doors were made out of impact-resistant glass.
