Even if you’re not particularly fond of skateboarding, you have to admit that this gold-plated skateboard looks absolutely phenomenal. Made by a renowned New York skateboarding manufacturer called SHUT, this lavish piece of equipment was initially envisioned by experts from the LES skate shop. Boasting a price tag of $15,000, this thing is definitely not affordable to the common citizen, but we’re talking about a skateboard that is drenched in luxury here, so a hefty price tag was bound to be part of the deal.
With a length of 31 and a half inches and a width of 8 inches, this skateboard flaunts standard measurements, but its functional parts are nowhere near standard as they were manufactured by some of the most reputable names in the industry. The board was sketched out by Matthew Willet and went through an electroplating process that allowed it to become enveloped in pure, glistening gold of 99.999% purity. As a final touch, the piece was polished extensively in order to achieve a mirror finish.
