Lotus to Bring the 2012 Exige to the States as a Track-Only Car

Lotus fans certainly remember the sad day when the Exige and the Elise had to be taken off the American streets, due to their failure to meet certain U.S. standards. Now the British automaker is thinking about easing their American fans’ pain by bringing the 2012 Exige S to the States, but only as a track car.

Equipped with a Race Pack system, the car boasts smart suspension settings and a handy launch control. The furious ride also features a Dynamic Performance Management system with traction control settings. Its 3.5-liter V6 engine is capable of 345 horsepower and can offer a maximum speed of 170 mph. The new Exige is able to complete the 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.8 seconds. Not bad at all.
