Longest Flight Ever with Zero Emissions

Longest Flight Ever with Zero Emissions (5)

Inspired by the bird that set the record for the longest non-stop flight and the longest journey by any animal without pausing for food, this stunning eco-friendly airplane was designed to reach any corner of the world without refueling. The bird in question is the Bar-tailed Godwit and the aircraft is called the Lockheed Stratoliner.

Its oversized wings are meant to generate a large amount of lift and allow for very high-altitude flights. The four Cryogenic Hydrogen Turbofan engines that power the aircraft flaunt zero emissions and they can also operate in a low-power state (inspired by fighter jets), thus saving a lot of fuel. We only needed one look at William Brown’s concept to fall in love with its design.
