The MB&F HM6 RT timepiece was created in order to mark the original HM6’s success, which earned it the prestigious “Best of the Best” accolade during the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015 event. Complex and luxurious, this limited edition piece features an 8k red gold case as opposed to the titanium case present on the regular version. However, the case was not created using conventional 5N red gold, but with something called 5N+ red gold that also includes palladium apart from gold and copper.
The palladium was added so that it could prevent copper from oxidizing, which means that the watch’s case will keep its beautiful color for years to come. The case boasts nine spherical crystals complemented by a 10th located on the back of the case. The initial titanium edition of the MB&F HM6 was limited to 50 units, while the MB&F HM6 RT Space Pirate in Red Gold is even more exclusive as it is limited to just 18. The price? About $233,000.
