The creators of this lovely purse with historical value are Gherardini, the famed Italian manufacturer of luxury handbags and accessories.
The Pretiosa (Precious)embodies a perfect combination of old inspiration, modern esthetics, and impeccable craftsmanship. The designer of the handbag was Carla Braccialini, who chose embroidered calf leather for the project. She also decided that the hardware should be made of embossed brass. The beautiful Pretiosa was displayed for three days at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno.
Gherardini and Da Vinci are two names that have a very significant history together. The famous Mona Lisa painting by Da Vinci is actually the portrait of Lisa Gherardini, who posed for the artist back in 1503. The fashion house was founded much later, but the connection cannot be denied. The Pretiosa will be produced in a limited edition of just 99 pieces, and they will be available for purchase starting March.
