Pune city, Maharashtra, India, is the place where Spasm Design Architects chose to design the Khadakvasla House project. Completed in 2010, it is a contemporary residence built to integrate into the beautiful surroundings of the Maharashtra.
The residence could be called a ‘nature house,’ since it manages to trap a mysterious forest of dense green, surrounded by its rooms. The timber lattice veranda sets a middle ground between the interior and the central courtyard, creating a connection with the outdoor space.
The focus of the house is the living room, which is a tall glass box, from which one can admire the magnificent view offered by the Western Ghats, at the flickering light of the fireplace.
