Celebrity couple Beyoncé and Jay Z are famous for their lavish spending habits, so we can’t say we were surprised to learn that they’ve already spent a fortune on expensive stuff for their new baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. Blue is only one week old, but her superstar parents didn’t think it too much to spend roughly $1.5 million on her.
Apparently $22,000 were spent on a Fantasy ‘posh tots’ carriage crib, while a Carla Monchen high chair decorated with Swarovski crystals cost $15,000. The most expensive acquisition of all was a stunning handcrafted Gina Tanaka rocking horse, made of solid gold: it cost a whopping $600,000! Among these opulent gifts, there is also a mini Bugatti car, a luxury playhouse and thousands of dollars worth of baby clothes.
Our opinion on all this? It’s just a natural thing. When love for a child meets huge wealth and passion for luxury, the result can only be one very opulent nursery! (Or three identical ones, in three different residences, as in the case of Blue Ivy).
