Iridium GO Provides Easy Access To Satellite Internet

Many establishments or public areas in our modern cities and towns ensure Wi-Fi internet access for their customers or visitors, but what do you do when you’re nowhere near a Wi-Fi hotspot and you require internet access badly? Well, a device called Iridium GO could provide a solution for this pesky problem once and for all, since it ensures perfect internet connectivity no matter where you might be located on the planet.

Obviously, we’re talking about satellite communication here, since satellites are in no way limited by the boundaries found on the surface of the Earth. So how does this device work exactly? All you have to do is flip up its integrated antenna, which will allow the device to create a Wi-Fi hotspot that has a radius of about 100 feet. You can connect up to 5 devices to this hotspot and enjoy a widespread array of services from SOS signals to voice calls and social sharing.

However, having portable internet access all over the globe will come at a pretty high financial cost, and we’re not only talking about the device itself here. As a matter of fact, future GO! users would have to sign up for a data plan provided by Iridium, and even though the company stated that this process would be an “affordable” one, we’ll just have to wait and see. Actually, we have to wait for the device itself to become available because it is still in its final development stages presently.
