Infinity Works on a Premium Compact New Model

Infinity Works on a Premium Compact New Model (10)

Infinity has some news to announce and we are happy to share them. Apparently Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK is doing better than ever and in the future (sometime in 2015) it will begin producing a new “premium compact” Infiniti. The new model will be created following a huge investment of £250 million (over $404 million), and this will result in 280 new jobs in the area.

The Sunderland assembly plant has recently announced an all-time industry record: it produces 500,000 units every year. Following on this success, Nissan feels confident to bring the new premium compact model to this factory. We hope that what they are keeping from us is that the new car will be the production version of the beautiful LE Concept pictured below.  Until then, what we do know is that the company estimates to generate about 1,000 more jobs across the UK in the near future.
