As far as hatchback vehicles are concerned, the Volkswagen Golf is undoubtedly one of the most appreciated and successful cars in the world. Blending great looks, reliability and high performance, the new Volkswagen Golf R 400 concept was unveiled during the latest edition of the New York Auto Show, and even thought it doesn’t exactly ooze sportiness from an aesthetic point of view, this thing has quite a few surprises in store for automobile enthusiasts.
Thanks to a roaring 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Golf R 400 boasts with a highly impressive power output of 395 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, so as you can probably imagine, it is unbelievably quick. According to Volkswagen, this concept is capable of performing a 0-60 sprint in just 3.9 seconds, while its top speed is no less than 174 mph.
