Glen Irani Architects came up with a highly innovative method of house building. What you see here is their third project in the series of Hover Houses.
The Hover Houses is a concept created to improve space management. The main scope is to create more outdoor living space on small lots. This house here is built on such a lot (32’, 95’), on the Venice Canals of Los Angeles, California.
Even though the indoor space is considerably reduced, there is still enough room for a quite spacious kitchen, a living room, a dining room, three bedrooms and two offices. Another plus for this house is given by the fact that it features many sustainability-improved technologies. Among them there is a well-thought natural ventilation system to replace air conditioning, and the photovoltaic panels on the roof.
