Holden Revives It’s First Ever Concept Car: The Hurricane

When Holden launched their stunning Hurricane Concept back in 1969, the world stood in awe at its sight. I was not only incredibly good looking, but also had numerous technologies that put it way ahead of its time: air conditioning, advanced hydraulics, and much more. It showed amazing foresight into the automatic technologies of the future. This made the Hurricane a very significant concept not only for Holden, but for the entire automotive industry in Australia.

Forty-two years after its debut, the Hurricane – Holden’s first ever concept car – has undergone a complete restoration process, in which Holden Design tried to use as many original components as possible, including the experimental mid-mounted four-barrel V8 engine. The final result will be displayed at the Motorclassica Motor Show in Melbourne between October 21-23.
