Gucci Creates the Mamma Bag to Benefit UNICEF

Gucci Creates the Mamma Bag to Benefit UNICEF (4)

Easily recognizable as a Gucci, thanks to its red and green ribbon handles, this simple yet elegant handbag was specially designed by Frida Giannini with the purpose of raising funds for UNICEF’s HIV and AIDS programs.

Made of cotton, linen and leather, the bag has two open pockets on the sides and a zip pocket on the front. Inside, there is a flat open pocket with three compartments, plus a zip pocket. The limited-edition bag, called the Mamma Bag, is exclusively available at the Gucci.com store and 25% of every bag sold until June 25 will be donated to UNICEF.  Also, the luxury fashion brand guarantees a donation of $70,000 which is destined to make HIV test kits for expectant mothers.

The handbag was created to celebrate Mother’s Day as well, so keep in mind that this could make a perfect Mother’s Day gift: it is lovely and it is meant to have a positive social impact.
