Hailing from a Finnish shipyard named Nautor, Solleone is a graceful and luxurious sailing yacht that was delivered to its fortunate owner in 2015. Its name is a nod to the warmest period in the summer season, and it also represents a mix of the owner’s and his two sons’ names. The vessel measures 115 feet in lenght and was sketched out by an Argentina-based design studio named German Frers.
What’s interesting is the fact that even though Solleone features a race-like exterior, its interiors were actually designed with comfort in mind, and they are perfectly suited for family life. Below deck, the owner hired a Florence-based designer named Michele Bonan to create a stunning sailing-friendly environment. Even during unwelcoming sailing conditions, this yacht performs admirably, which is an incredible feat in itself.
As far as accommodations are concerned, the full beam master suite certainly deserves a mention, as it comprises a plethora of high-end amenities, including an en-suite bathroom. Two more cabins were inserted forward of the master suite, and these offer exceptional living conditions for youngsters.
Performance-wise, Solleone was able to reach a top speed of 25 knots, while its cruising speed often varies between 14 and 17 knots.
