Gorgeous Art Motorcycles by Artist Chicara Nagata

Gorgeous Art Motorcycles by Artist Chicara Nagata (1)

After a near-death experience with a motorcycle as a teenager (at age 16), Japanese artist Chicara Nagata dedicated his entire passion to these outstanding machines that are so exciting and so dangerous at the same time. Throughout his long career, he gave life to numerous works of art, including remarkable motorcycle designs.

He restored a large number of old motorcycle engines (from 1939 to 1966), only to give them new bodies, made up of hundreds of components that had been designed and assembled by the artist himself. Three of his gorgeous bikes are currently on display at the M.A.D. Gallery.

Called the Chicara Art Four, Chicara Art Three, and Chicara Art One, the motorbikes are stunning in beauty, and since no true work of art is ever cheap, they also flaunt prohibitively high prices. While the first one costs CHF 78,000 (approx. $80,400 +VAT), the last two are considerably more expensive: CHF 370,000 (approx. $381,300 + VAT) each.
