G-Wagon LAPV 6.X Armored Vehicle By Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz is no stranger to armored cars, but when people hear the words “Mercedes” and “armored” in the same sentence, they usually envision a luxurious armored limousine such as the S-Guard 600. However, what we’re about to present is an all-road beast that’s able to meet the apocalypse head on, and the best part is that it bears the Mercedes-Benz badge.

The G-Wagon LAPV or Light Armored Patrol Vehicle boasts a steel body that is able to withstand an enormous amount of punishment, but it is also quite heavy which means that the car had to be equipped with a very powerful engine. Furthermore, since the car was built to be driven across extremely unwelcoming terrain, the engine absolutely had to be a diesel one so that it may deliver an appropriate amount of torque for tedious uphill drives. As far as technology is concerned, the G-Wagon boasts an outstanding amount of military-inspired features, including radar jamming capabilities, an EADS system, a mobile command system and a tire inflation system.

With a top speed of 93mph, this thing wouldn’t exactly be the slowest vehicle on the road either, but since it is only a concept car at this time, there’s no way we can see it in action just yet. Maybe someday.
