Those of you who are interested in dinosaurs will definitely want to have a look at this incredible full-sized Stegosaurus skeleton, which is scheduled to be auctioned off in Germany on May 28, 2016. The event will be hosted by Auctionata in collaboration with Haburg’s REDGALLERY, which is one of the most appreciated galleries in the country. Dubbed “Nature at Home – Prehistorical fossils and minerals,” the auction will be livestreamed, and surely plenty of people will take advantage of the unique opportunity to admire an actual dinosaur skeleton.
Speaking of which, the skeleton belongs to the Jurassic period, which means that it is about 150 million years old. It measures 23 feet in length and incorporates more than 90% original bone material, which is probably why it is expected to fetch about $2.6 million. The bidding will start at about $1.3 million, and the skeleton will be sold alongside a series of certificates and a special booklet.
