Ferrari Unveils The F12 Berlinetta at Geneva

One of the goodies unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show was Ferrari’s ferocious F12 Berlinetta. The car flaunts a lot of muscle, as it is powered by a V12 capable of 740 horsepower. The 0 to 62 mph sprint can be completed in just 3.1 seconds, while the 124 mph threshold is reached in only 8.5 seconds.

True Ferrari fans will also be thrilled to learn that the car was first tested for a few laps around Fiorano, and the results were truly impressive. The F12 Berlinetta scored a new record time of 1:23, meaning that it is two full seconds faster than the Ferrari Enzo, and one second quicker than the 599 GTO.

Even though its elongated nose might suggest more weight at the front, the car is actually heavier at the rear: 54 percent of the car’s weight presses on the back wheels. The total weight is now 154-feet lower than before, meaning that the compact coupe weighs only 3,362 pounds.
