Dazzling Hublot Classic Fusion Haute Joallerie ‘1 Million’

Among the many stunners unveiled at Baselworld 2013, there was this one opulent piece that fitted both the exquisite timepieces and the superb jewelry categories. Called Classic Fusion Haute Joallerie ‘1 Million’, the watch is fully set with baguette diamonds, totaling a whopping 1,185 gems, and boasting a $1 million price tag.

Even the skeleton dial is covered with the precious stones for an even brighter overall glow of the watch. The crown alone flaunts 24 diamonds (0.61 carats), and the bracelet is decorated with 791 more gems. It is no wonder that for the development of this extravagant piece 64 different people, all experts in specific fields (11 disciplines were involved), needed to work painstakingly hard for the spectacular outcome.

Starting to feel that the $1 million price is not really that exaggerated? Well, here’s a little extra justification for that hefty sum. The 45 mm case is made of 18k white gold with rhodium plating, and so is the caseback. Anti-reflective sapphire was used for both the front and the back of the watch. Water resistant to 3 ATM, the piece is powered by a MHUB6010.H1.1 hand-wound skeleton-worked tourbillon movement with 19 jewels and a 120-hour power reserve.
