Custom 1945 Willys Jeep Rat Rod

Can you imagine a Rat Rod fused together with a Jeep? Well, the guys at Randy Ellis Design could, and the result was this very awesome 1945 Willys Jeep Rat Rod. The vintage body looks like that of an original World War II Jeep, but is in fact a perfect replica made of fiberglass. The modern reinterpretation of the vehicle still keeps some original Willys parts, though, for authenticity.

Powering the dragster is a 1977 Chevy 350 V8 engine connected to a 3-speed automatic gearbox. Fitted with air bag suspensions, the car cannot exactly climb rocks like a full-fledged Jeep, but its awesomeness level is pretty high. It has a cruising speed of 70 mph, vintage Stewart Warner gauges integrated into the center dash, and no need for air conditioning, due to the fold out windshield.
