Stereo speakers are usually made out of wood or plastic, and while there are some products out there that feature glass builds or other exotic materials, finding a speaker made out of concrete is no easy task. Still, Daniel Ballou decided to use this exact material for his new project, and it looks like he made a very inspired decision.
The product in question is actually sold as an assembly kit, which includes its own pre-wired and pre-assembled front panel with a 5” driver, crossover, input jack and tweeter. As for the back panel, it offers the necessary hardware for mounting the product together. All you need is a pair of cinder blocks and a bit of know-how, and you’ll be able to put together your own concrete speaker in no time at all.
Not bad for just $150, right?
